Email Marketing

Email list building is the heart and soul of most successful Internet businesses. Here's the secret of building an email list quickly.

The biggest mistake most people make when building their blogs or websites is that they are waiting so long to start building an email list. They think that just having a website or blog and a few daily visitors is
enough. Wrong!

If you are in affiliate marketing you may be writing reviews of products that you promote with your
affiliate link and post them on your blog or site and probably get a sale every now and then. The same will be the case if you are selling your own product. It is a painfully slow method and you’ll never  sell many products that way.

You have to build an email list and combine it with your site in order to have a good income. Write a review to your blog and also write an email your list telling people about the review you wrote or the new product you have put on your site.

Now you’ll start seeing results.

You’ll get a rush of sales within the first 24 hours because people read email much more frequently than they read blogs. The secret is to make your email compelling enough that people want to click on the link to your site or blog to discover how they will benefit from taking action.

You will always sell more of your own stuff than affiliate products, so when you write multiple
blog posts and send multiple emails to promote your latest offer, it's it’s a combination that will result in sales for you.
This combination works so much better because you are increasing the exposure points you have with your audience. Their trust in you increases. They get the email and the blog posts and the conversion
rate increases.

So now the question is, how can you build your list?
The most important thing is to take action. Don’t wait to start building your list.

You must put an opt-in form on your blog or site and start collecting names and email addresses from your visitors. But doing this alone is too slow. You can’t afford to wait that long to have an acceptable list. You need other methods than this if you really want to grow your list quickly.

It’s time to start building another website. You need a landing page. Some people call it a squeeze page. The sole purpose is to “squeeze” the email address out of people. That’s why you must keep it simple. Don’t give your visitors any choices. Don’t get them confused. Leave them with only two options. Enter their email addresses or leave the site.

Since the goal of the page is to obtain the visitor's email address; additional information could distract the user or cause them to leave for a different website. Navigation and hyperlinks are almost always absent from typical squeeze pages.

Savvy Internet marketers have discovered that convincing a visitor to sign up for an email list provides an opportunity to present that visitor with multiple sales messages over time, develop a relationship, and even cross-sell other related products.

Squeeze Pages are often used in conjunction with an email autoresponder to begin delivering information as soon as the visitor confirms their email address. The autoresponder is used to send a series of follow-up emails and may also be used to provide an immediate download link to get information.

Promising free information upon completion of confirming their email address is a very effective method of increasing opt-ins using Squeeze Pages. It's an ethical bribe where, in return for their information, you give them a report, an ebook, a mini course, some nice graphics or anything that your visitor perceive as a value.

Email marketing is very effective for information products, but it may be even more effective for a pizza restaurant when distributing coupons or a chiropractor who is offering a free check-up.

Most offline business owners never realize how important it is for them to always collect email addresses and then stay in tuch with their customers or clients.
