Create Your Own Product

The method we will show you here may be used whether you want to create a printed book, an ebook or a course.

Of all the information products you can create, there's only one that will actually get you real world publicity opportunities, position you as an expert in your field and allow you to get ahead of your competition. It is a printed book.

Having your own book is the one thing that separates people who are taken seriously in the information products business from those who are struggling to be accepted.

Who has the credibility, the ebook publisher or the physical book author? Many people in the Internet marketing field may say there's no difference. But go ask a media member. Or ask the average person on the street which one has more credibility to them.

A book author is immediately considered to be an expert and that expert status translates to higher fees, more publicity and JV opportunities, which in turn results in more business. It's a way to presell your customers with educational content that will lead them back to you as the person they know, like and trust to solve the problems that you address.

So is it time for you to start writing your first book?

If not, and you are serious about making an impact in the lucrative information marketing industry, it is probably for one of these three reasons:

  • You don’t know what to write about
  • You don’t know how to write it quickly
  • You don’t know how to get it published

What to write about? That’s actually quite easy. Just think about what you want the final result of your marketing plan to be. What action do you want the reader to take as a result of reading your book? Work backwards from there with the end goal in mind.

Joe Congo Marketing Academy has instructions for choosing a profitable niche that's right for you.

You don’t need to spend years or even months writing your book. Do it quickly! Create a strong outline first and then record a phone interview with some expert where you ask them questions stemming from your outline and follow up on their answers with more questions that create even more content.

Or you can have someone interview you and go through the same process.

Then you send the MP3 of that interview to a transcription service and their answers become the rough draft of the book. No writing is necessary.

The transcript may even become the book itself by just doing a little editing where it may be required.

Here are some outline tips:

1. Define your customer’s problem in their own words.

2. Point out the ways they can be hurt by not solving this problem immediately. Make then re-live their pain in order to motivate them to take solution oriented action now.

3. Warn them about all the things to beware of when they’re looking for a solution. Doing this may disqualify some or all of your competitors.

4. List the ways in which you are able to provide those solutions in your business. If you have actual testimonials, it to provide social proof. You can never have too many testimonials. Scatter them throughout your book.

5. Address the myths and misconceptions that people may have about your product or service. This answers their objections and prepared them to answer your call to action in a positive way.

6. Offer them an incentive to let you help them solve that problem and build in a strong call to action.

You will most likely be forced to self-publish your first book.
